Our radio programs project was born with the objective of keeping all the Amazon region informed about the news related to the Chevron-Texaco case and the activities of UDAPT, as well as to make the whole population aware of its educational role in the cultural, environmental and communitary areas.
Through radio information we aim at raising awareness across the entire population of the northern ecuatorian Amazon. In particular, we aim at involving more and more young people in the UDAPT struggle process, in order to keep this up to achieve a fair justice for all the affected people.
The radio information activity is broadcasted on the programme Voices and Justice , on air via different radios located in Sucumbiós province.
The program consists of 5 steps :
o Paths of struggles: information on the struggles against extractive companies in Orellana and Sucumbios.
o Amazon Land: issues of ancestral medicine and organic farming.
o Our culture: about the cultures of each of the nationalities that make up UDAPT and the settlers.
o Voices of resistance: news about the Chevron-Texaco case and the resistance processes that are taking place.
o Repairing our Amazon: about the remediation and reparation works and activities that UDAPT is developing.
The program Voices and Justice was broadcast on the Tsanda Jenfa radio 90.9 FM , a community radio station of the nationalities of Sucumbios located in Lago Agrio.
